Praful qualified as a pharmacist at Leicester University in 1970. His first job was for Boots the Chemist in Crewe. After two years he moved to P.Williams Chemist for a further 11 years. In 1983 he decided to buy a business which brought him to the pharmacy on Spark Road, Baguley. Praful relocated his pharmacy to Altrincham Road, Baguley in 1998, to work alongside Park Medical Centre.
Praful was one of the first pharmacists in Britain to provide the emergency hormonal contraception "morning after pill". He is also accredited to provide smoking cessation and contraceptive pill service.
